Who runs BungeeFinder
BungeeFinder is an independent guide to bungee jumping, owned and written by Dylan Rooney. Dylan is responsible for every article on the site and for what it publishes.
Dylan is not a bungee operator, jumpmaster or instructor, and he has not bungee jumped himself. BungeeFinder is a researched guide: its job is to gather the details people need before they book (heights, prices, weight and age limits, safety rules, what happens on the day) in one place, and to show where each of those details came from.
How articles are researched
Articles are compiled from published sources rather than personal experience. That means:
- Operator websites for heights, prices, weight and age limits, booking rules and what is included. Prices are quoted in the operator’s own currency with the date they were checked.
- Safety standards bodies and regulators, such as the joint Australian/New Zealand bungy code of practice (AS/NZS 5848) and New Zealand’s adventure activities regime run by WorkSafe.
- Medical literature, news reporting and reference works for accident history, injury research and the sport’s origins.
Every article lists its sources at the bottom of the page. If a figure can’t be traced to a source, it is left out or clearly described as unverified. Nothing on this site should be read as a first-hand account by the author.
Prices, limits and opening details change. Always confirm the current details directly with the operator before you book.
Advertising
BungeeFinder is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense, as described in the privacy policy. BungeeFinder does not sell or book jumps.
