There is no universal "best month to bungee." There is local weather, local river levels, and local tourism crowds. The worst time is whenever your operator will not run and you have zero spare days.
Queenstown and alpine towns
Destination Queenstown treats the place as year-round: winter snow sports roughly June–August, summer lake and outdoor weather December–February, shoulder seasons with fewer crowds and mixed conditions.[1] Bungy still runs in winter when weather allows — dress for cold on the bridge, not for a beach photo.
Wind and storms cancel more plans than temperature alone. Build a spare day in any season.
Waterfall and gorge sites
Victoria Falls has high-spray and lower-spray periods tied to Zambezi flow. Spray changes the feel of the viewpoint and can affect comfort on the bridge; operators still set rain and safety holds on the day.[2] Do not book a same-day international exit if mist season is part of your romance plan.
Tropical hubs

What "worst time" usually means
- Peak holiday weeks when every slot is full and every hotel is expensive

- Personal factors: illness, hangover, altitude arrival day
Operators stop for wind, lightning, rain on cords, and other limits. That is the job. Plan around it instead of fighting it.[4][5]
How to pick a window
Check the destination tourism season pages, then the operator's live calendar, then your flight flexibility. Shoulder seasons often win on price and queue length. Midwinter alpine trips work if you pack layers and accept holds. Tropical wet season works if you have days to spare.
Bottom line: Match the season to the place, leave buffer days, and treat the operator weather call as final. Calendars do not override wind.
