Planning a Bungee-Focused Bucket-List Trip

Travel

You do not need twelve countries. You need two or three jumps you actually want, with travel that does not leave you ruined for the platform.

Build a short list from live commercial sites. Drop anything you only know from a decade-old "world's best" ranking.

Pick sites for different reasons

Heritage and menu: Queenstown — Kawarau at 43 m for the original commercial story; Nevis at 134 m if you want New Zealand's highest.[1][2]

Place-soaked single leap: Victoria Falls Bridge at 111 m, with passport and rain rules in the mix.[3]

High bridge drama: Bloukrans in South Africa, widely listed around 216 m over the river gorge — confirm current operator pages before you route a whole safari around it.[4]

Urban extreme: Macau Tower AJ Hackett products from the outer rim, marketed around 233 m as a highest-from-a-building commercial bungy facility.[5]

Heights and marketing claims change. Use the operator page the month you fly.

Trip design that does not break you

One major freefall per long-haul arrival week is plenty. Fly, sleep, jump, recover. Do not land and leap same day after 20 hours of plastic food.

Group sites by region: Oceania cluster, southern Africa cluster, East Asia urban add-on. Crossing three continents for three jumps is a money decision, not a bravery ranking.

Leave weather buffers in tropical and high-altitude seasons. See best and worst times.

Admin that protects the list

Medical honesty at every site. Weight limits differ — Nevis, Falls, and tower products are not interchangeable bands. Travel insurance that names adventure sports. Visas and border rules for bridge sites that straddle countries.[3][6]

Book refundable lodging near the first jump after each long flight. Collect confirmations offline. If a site closes or changes operators mid-plan, you still have a holiday.

Bottom line: Short list, real operators, recovery between long hauls. A bucket list is a sequence of verified jumps — not a sticker chart of heights.
